🌱 What is this Trade Promotion Competition?
Every second month, one customer from Australia or New Zealand, and one customer from overseas is randomly selected to receive a Weedy Garden Community Makeover — a hands-on, volunteer-powered transformation focused on food production, or a retreat in The Weedy Garden in the beautiful Northern Rivers.
This is a legitimate Trade Promotion with a total prize pool under $5,000, meaning no permits are required in Australia or New Zealand or elsewhere.
🍃 How do I enter?
Choose any of the 27 digital art designs from the one page that suits you (whether you are an Aussie/NZ or International) for $10 each.
Purchase your design.
Your purchase of each individual design includes one free entry into the competition.
Your order number becomes your entry number.
You may purchase as many designs as you like, up to all 27. Each individual design gives you one free entry.
📦 What do I receive when I purchase a design?
You’ll receive:
A high-resolution digital design emailed instantly after purchase (check spam/junk).
One free entry into the Trade Promotion.
This is a digital file you can use to print on anything you like.
👕 Can I get a T-shirt of my design printed?
Yes!
You can order T-shirt printing directly from Izwoz via her website.
Important details:
T-shirt purchases do NOT include entries.
Only the digital design purchased here includes free entry.
All T-shirt printing, pricing, and postage are handled independently by Izwoz.
🌿 When do entries close?
Entries close 1st March 2026 at 11:00am AEST.
📅 When is the draw?
1st March 2026 at 12:00pm (noon) AEST, live on YouTube.
Weedy will call the randomly selected customer live on air, so keep your phone nearby.
🏡 What if I rent my house — can I still enter?
Yes — as long as you have written landlord permission.
Because we plant trees and improve soil, we need confirmation the property owner approves the changes.
We will request this if your entry is selected.
🌱 What if my garden is very small?
Small gardens are perfect!
Some of the most beautiful edible gardens are compact spaces.
If there’s room for a little soil, a few plants, or a small bed, we can create something wonderful.
🌦 What happens if weather cancels the weekend?
If extreme weather makes the planned workshop unsafe, we simply:
Postpone the date
Notify volunteers
Choose the next suitable weekend
Your makeover won’t be cancelled — just moved
🛠 Do I need to provide tools or materials?
No.
We bring what we need and supplement with what’s already on your property.
Part of the Weedy Garden approach is repurposing, so no one is expected to buy anything.
👥 Can neighbours or friends join the workshop?
Absolutely.
These weekends thrive with community energy.
Your neighbours, family, or friends are welcome to join the workshop, learn, and contribute.
We ask only that everyone works safely and respectfully.
🔁 If my entry is not selected, can I enter again next time?
Yes — every Trade Promotion round is separate.
You’re welcome to join future competitions by purchasing another design when the next promotion opens.
🌿 What does the first prize include?
A Weedy Garden Community Makeover, focused entirely on food production — such as:
Vegetable beds
Fruit trees
Berries and perennial edibles
Soil improvement
Compost systems
Water-wise solutions
Bee-friendly plantings
Mini food forest starters
No ornamental landscaping or high-cost installations — just practical, abundant edible gardening.
🌻 What does the second prize include?
A Two-Day Weedy Garden Retreat for two:
Stay in the Cozy Cottage
Eat organic food from the garden
Learn hands-on with Weedy
Enjoy nature, creativity, peace, and real garden life
Travel is not included.
🌏 How do I get to the Weedy Garden Retreat?
If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you’ll need to make your own way to the Weedy Garden in Northern Rivers NSW.
If your entry is selected for the international retreat, I’ll fly you to Brisbane Airport from your nearest major city, pick you up from the airport, and bring you back there at the end of your stay.
🏡 Where will I stay?
You’ll stay in the Cozy Cottage, right beside the garden.
It’s a quiet, comfortable space surrounded by nature, birds, stars, and fresh air.
The cottage includes a small kitchen, a comfy bed, and everything you need for a peaceful stay.
🍽 What food is included?
You’ll enjoy beautiful organic meals straight from the garden, shared with me (Weedy) during your stay.
There will also be fresh produce and basic food supplies waiting for you in the cottage, so you can cook, snack, or make tea whenever you like.
🚗 Do I need a car while I’m there?
Not necessarily.
If you’re here for rest, learning, and garden time, everything you need is right on the property.
If you’d like to explore the Northern Rivers region — waterfalls, beaches, cafés, markets — you can hire a car from Brisbane Airport or the local area.
👥 Who actually works on my garden?
We are the Weedy Garden Community — generous, curious gardeners and volunteers across Australia and New Zealand who love learning and helping others and love what Weedy is doing. We just want to help!
These weekends are community workshops full of shared food, good conversation, new friendships, and plenty of hands-on learning.
🌿 What happens before the makeover?
Weedy will visit your garden for a recon visit to:
Walk your space with you
Understand your goals
Plan what’s achievable
Identify what can be repurposed
Prepare a realistic weekend workshop
Determine how the community can help
🎥 Will the makeover be filmed?
Yes.
The entire process is documented for The Weedy Garden YouTube Channel so the community can learn, follow the transformation, and see the impact they helped create.
By entering, you consent to filming and photography if your garden is selected.
📞 How will I know if my entry is selected?
Weedy will call you live on YouTube at midday on 1st March 2026.
You will also receive a written confirmation email within 7 days.
Your first name and town will be published on the website (required by trade promotion guidelines).
📬 I didn’t receive my digital design. What do I do?
Check your spam or junk folder — they often land there.
If you still can’t find it, email us and we’ll resend it straight away.
🔢 How do I know my entry number?
Your order number is your entry number. If you buy 1 digital design you recieve one free entry. If you buy 5, you have your order number 5 times in the draw ect ect.
Keep it safe — that’s the number Weedy will draw live on YouTube.
🧭 Can international customers enter this one?
No — this competition is only for Australia and New Zealand.
